Prepare to go up higher – 2010

February 2nd 2010 in Church Leadership, Ministries, Words of the Lord

On Dec 31st, 2009, Pastor Doug was in prayer when the Lord spoke the phrase to him, “Prepare to go up higher.” While Pastor Doug was excited about this word, the Lord then spoke the phrase to him again and brought his attention to the word prepare.

This word became the focus of the church as we began to prepare for things ahead. With this word came much moving in the church as people and things began to be shifted. In correlation to this time, Pastor Doug had a vision of a football team. In the vision, the call was made for the team to change play right before the ball was hiked. The vision represented, not a defensive move, but an offensive move and that God was going to shift people into new positions, some stepping into their calling. From the time of that vision the Pastoral staff began working on the shifting of people. 1 month after the vision Pastor Doug had a service where the vision/history of the church was spoken and the new leaders of departments were brought up and laid hands upon. Amongst the changes, Pastor Roger was released to begin going out to travel and minister using his gift of singing to help affect the body abroad.

There was a shaking going on as the church began to move with new leadership and fervor, getting prepared for the future.
